Join The Palace Project team and library professionals from across the country to discuss all things Palace during our first mini conference. Hear from Lyrasis staff, partner librarians, and state library stakeholders as we explore what it means to be a library-driven platform. We invite our community to attend one or many of the sessions scheduled throughout the afternoon.
Sessions
Noon EST: Introduction and Opening Remarks –with John Wilkin, CEO, Lyrasis, and Michael Atwood, Senior Director, Ebooks and Community Engagement.
12:30pm EST: State Stakeholder Panel Discussion – a moderated panel discussion with stakeholders from various state libraries participating in the Palace Project.
1:35pm EST: Sustainable Content – learn about the many content options available from the Palace Marketplace, BiblioBoard, and the Indie Author Project. Hear about favorable licensing options and publisher relationships that will guide our work as we move forward with advocating for library needs in the digital ebook market.
2:40pm EST: Community-Driven Development – an overview of the ways in which the EBCE Palace team incorporates our community’s feedback in decision making and future planning for the Palace Project. Hear about the feedback review process, the Palace software road map, the beta testing process, and our community groups providing guidance, including the state library stakeholder group.
3:40pm EST: Palace Community in Focus: a moderated panel discussion with library practitioners using Palace. This group will share how they have found success using the Palace Project app in their communities.
4:30pm EST: Academic Library Panel Discussion – a moderated panel discussion with stakeholders from our academic library partners using Palace at their institutions. Learn about how they are using Palace, and the value they are finding using the software in an academic setting.
